This Way is celebrating in the French Riviera
This weekend is like a fairytale…. My birthday and bachelor degree has been celebrated times a thousand on this trip. So my celebration and happinees in one place. Where to begin?
So I flew woke up very early, meaning 4:30 am. This is in middle of the night and not just early morning. Then I took my small suitcase with only summer clothes and a pair of flat and high heels and left my London apartment. Next stop was London airport where I were to board to Nice. My boyfriend had arranged this trip and haven’t really told me much about this trip…. surprise kinda-thing, which is not him at all to do – so I was really impressed. Ready and excited as I am when landing in Nice and waiting in the airport for my boyfriend, can I see the sight of him walking and along are two other couples of friends. Excited to be spending the weekend with bith boyfriend and friends. We then drive to Cannes and sit at the hotel Martinez’s beach restaurant for an early lunch (10 am)… Then I can see my boyfriend making some calls and walking front and back and looking at the water and saying “Okay guys, I think that is out boat.” me thinking/wish thinking: boat? we are going to stay on a boat!?And the answer and reality was, yes. The following ten minutes comes a small tender boat and sails in out luggage and us……. I couldn’t really believe what was happening. I looooove being on boats and to sail… Everything with speed am I keen on. and my boyfriend knows that.
The next is that we are arriving at our boat for the weekend, called no less than “Funky Town.” After we all got on the boat and was sitting with some wine the boat started sailing from Cannes to St. Tropez. It was absolutely amazing to sail in the French Riviera. I was my first time doing that and the whole coast is so beautiful and authentic. We stopped in St. Tropez and went for swim and a try on the Jetski that was on the boat. I was of course the first one to try…. We had such and amazing time and everybody had forgot about their fatigue after an early bird morning. We stayed up all day and night….
The next morning I woke up was my birthday… The crew on the boat have done an amazing breakfast with fruit, croissants, eggs, etc. etc. and I got a birthday song. What more can I ask for?And then we had lunch at my favorite lunch spot in St. Tropez, the 55 club. Here is credité the starter, where all kinds of vegetables are being exposed nicely in a basket ready to eat with their famous (secret recipe) dip, that makes vegetables taste good (even if you don’t like them without). While eating lunch at Club 55 a live band comes over an sings a birthday song for me and all the staff at Club 55 sings along and puts light to all the ballons that were hanging over our table to make some noice and set an atmosphere… I laughed so badly that my stomach still hurts when I think about it. In the evening was there arranged a dinner on the boat. Thai-dinner, which is some of my favorite food. And more importantly, for dessert did the boat crew come out with a chocolate birthday cake with lighted candles while singing birthday song for me…. Which now was the third birthday song…. thank you for that.
This weekend has been all about celebrating and having fun, which was made in totally luxury style. I can get use to this – no need to send me back to reality….
