After two days exploring Rome, the next journey went to the Italian Riviera. We flew from Rome to Genoa and then drove from the airport to Portofino in about 30 minutes.
Portofino is very small town, if you can even call it a town, with small shops and a harbor. The streets are narrow and cars and scooters are not allowed. The harbor is filled with colorful building and cute restaurants. My boyfriend and I did not know which restaurant to chose from for lunch, but decided to go for one with lots of guests. That must be a good sign, which it was! They served fresh fish and home-made pasta, which was amazing. Then we went for a walk in the harbor and enjoyed the beautiful view. Portofino looks like a painting!

This was our transportation to get around in the Italian riviera. We stayed at the Excelsior Palace Hotel, which is in the town called, Rapallo and is about 7 km from Portofino. The ride from Rapallo to Portofino was beautiful with the sea on one side and beautiful buildings and nature on the other side. The scooter was perfect to feel the atmosphere and breathe the Italian air.
There was a couple of scooters to choose between at the Excelsoir Palace Hotel. I went for the blue one.
