Travel is my therapy

Travel is my therapy in life!

My blog is founded in Jan 2014 and is my digital universe where my aim is to inspire and motivate through my travels. Fashion, travel, and a healthy lifestyle is what I focus on and is a reflection of who I am.
I believe honesty, hard work and a positive mind is This Way in life.

I am a fashion-passionated person and started collecting Vogue magazines as 12-year old and since then I always knew I wanted to be a part of the fashion world but things in life happens and you cannot stop them – embrace it and give it a positive meaning.

My traveling journey started when I finished high school in my hometown Copenhagen I moved to Paris to pursue my dream. The dream of becoming a professional dancer and be fluent in French. The dancing did not turn out as suppose to due to getting an injury in my leg. After my accident I started modeling with the intentions of just doing it for a couple of months. Now seven years later I am still modeling. I have learned that things in life are unpredictable and there is a deeper meaning when things happen – we have to fight for our passion and accept the outcome.

After living in Paris for almost one year I moved to Athens, then Milan, South Korea, Tel Aviv, and other cities. Traveling became part of my lifestyle and I am addicted to it. Then I decided to stimulate my brain differently, so I signed up at university, Copenhagen Business School. While studying I worked as fashion assistant at the Danish fashion magazine, Eurowoman. I also went to Barcelona for a summer fashion internship. Further I have studied several fashion courses at London College of Fashion.
After my undergraduate I got hired at the world leading fashion pr agency, KCD WorldWide in London. Here I was responsible for PR, production and coordination of fashion brands and fashion shows. I worked for London Fashion Week in June 2014, September 2014 and for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in December 2014.

In summer 2016 I graduated from Copenhagen Business School with a master degree in communication. And I want to be honest here, I am not an typical business student. I have always been this kind of person who like to do things differently and more importantly, do them in my own way (This Way). Studying to me means a lot of reading, digging into theories and understanding theoretical perspective and developing a critical stand point, which is tuff for a person like me. When everything is put into boxes and categories and “this is how we do it her!”, then I get turned of and wants to challenge the system, which result to me doing everything differently.
While studying I was traveling all the time. I was working one week in London and the next in Germany. I was a “ghost” student. I was enrolled in the course but I was barely attending any classes. However, I flew back for all my exams if I could not do them from abroad. And one time I was sitting in London one evening after a long day at work and I was reading a new course on my master degree and I could not understand anything. I tried my best to follow the class but after 3 weeks of not understanding anything, I flew back to Coenhagen and attended all the classes to keep up with the course. In the end everything went well but I remember all my girlfriends saying to me that I was crazy and it was insane that I could manage studying the way I did. The advice I can give is; disciplined, discipline and time management. I wanted to do everything; I wanted to travel, live life, work, AND get a master degree. Well, then I need to sit home and study many Friday and Saturdays when all my friends are out getting drunk. You need to prioritise and I like to study during the night, which is perfect when I am working during the day and then I had many “all-nighters” with a geeky book. I always made myself a schedule of how much to read in order to not be behind and to write notes (even though it slows down the pace when reading, notes are gold). Therefore I taught myself to be more disciplined and being able to stay focused on my study while being abroad.

Furthermore, I work as a model (or maybe “performer” is a better word”) where Scoop Models is my mother agency and I am signed with modeling agencies all over the world.
I have many projects I am working on at the same time. I get restless and bored if I have to wait for one thing at the time, which is why blogging is a perfect way for me to always stay busy, and I really enjoy blogging. Every post I make have thoughts and intentions behind it. Nothing is random.

My latest investment is my own travel brand, Away This Way. Since I graduated from Copenhagen Business School in summer 2016 I knew that I did not want to sit at a desk every day from 9-7. I knew I wanted to create my own life and my own “baby”. Not baby as in child (yet) but “baby” as in my own brand and company (empire). I have been saving money up during my studies and I am investing every penny of it in this company. Away This Way will be a travel brand offering concierge and sexy convenient travels items for your journeys.
I am working 24/7 on this, or let me put this “this way”, every time I am not on a modeling job or going to castings, then I am working on my business. I love working and I always have. I have so much passion and belief in this and my dream is to make it come alive. After that, let’s see… But I hope you will embrace it with positivity.

I cannot say exactly when Away This Way will be launched. I have been working on this for almost two years and what I have learned is that you need patience and that timelines are guidelines and not reality. But stay tuned, hopefully in the next months Away This Way will be available for you.
